Nokia Internet Tablet - N800 (part 4)
The coolest new feature is without any doubt 'Skype on the Nokia N800'. However the N800 was already equipped with a perfectly working 'Google Talk' application, a lot of users were still waiting for Skype. Why ? There are far more Skype users then Google Talk users (so far).
The biggest differences between Google Talk & Skype are:
- Google Talk is really integrated in the N800 OS and immediately available after startup / reboot
- Skype has to be launched manually after every startup / reboot [it would be nice if we could configure which applications should be launched immediately after startup, isn't it ?]
- Google Talk has video capabilities, especially usefull if the other side is also using a N800
- Both Skype & Google Talk have a well designed interface and are easy to use
- Both Skype & Google Talk aren't available for Nokia 770 users
Herafter you can find a few screenshots of the new Skype application (startup screen, people list, dial screen and chat screen).
